The touch surface of the Magic Mouse can be used as MIDI controller with AudioSwift. Just set AudioSwift to be turned on using a hotkey instead of a four or five fingers tap gestures. Go to Preferences > General.
Why won’t AudioSwift open? Why the icon disappears from the menu bar?
When you try to open the app, the icon will appear in the menu bar and then it will disappear quickly. Follow these steps before running the app for the first time.
Does AudioSwift work with Apple Silicon computers?
Yes. AudioSwift is supported natively with both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
Why do the plugin windows disappear when turning on AudioSwift?
If you have this issue, you are probably working with AudioSwift version 2.3.0 or below. Download the current beta version. This issue has been fixed in the beta version.
Why don’t the sends, jog wheel, or master fader controllers seem to work in my DAW?
The sends, jog wheel and master fader are only available on certain DAWs. Please make sure to watch our tutorials for the DAW you’re using.
Can I use two trackpads or a trackpad plus a Magic Mouse?
Yes, but only one of the devices will be the MIDI controller at a time.
Why can’t I use the mouse pointer when AudioSwift is on?
In order for AudioSwift to work properly, the mouse pointer is frozen to avoid accidental clicks and dragging over other apps. However, with the current beta version, you now have the option to unlock the cursor from other input devices. Download the current beta version here.
Why some Lightroom keyboard shortcuts don’t work properly with AudioSwift?
Since AudioSwift is the key app on screen when it’s on, and because there are some known issues between MIDI2LR and Lightroom, some keyboard shortcuts won’t work with MIDI commands, like for example copy and pasting settings between photos.
Does it work with photo or video editing apps other than Lightroom?
Only with Final Cut Pro X. AudioSwift sends standard MIDI messages and the app receiving them should be MIDI compatible, or otherwise it doesn’t work.
Does it work with Wacom Tablets?
No, it doesn’t. AudioSwift only works with a trackpad. The Wacom tablet can still be used as a pointer device while AudioSwift is not activated.
